Most of you will know that Dick Richardson, our long-standing and highly respected Head Coxswain, recently stepped down from his role.

With the overwhelming support of our Club coxswains, Richard Perkins has been invited to become our new Head Coxswain and we are delighted to announce that he has accepted this invitation and begins his new position with immediate effect.

The role has been adapted to reflect the changes in club management structure. As Head Coxswain, Richard's role will include overall responsibility for communication lines between Club and Coxswains; arranging Coxswain training, alongside Greg (Club Waterfront Manager); development of the recruitment and selection process of new Coxswains, as well as arranging the all-important Coxswain social activities with the help of other coxswains.

Club Coxswains provide a vital role in the smooth running of all our on-water activities and our thanks goes to the whole team, especially to Richard for taking over this important role and we wish him all the best.
