A New Pontoon for Slipway 2

Following the storm damage, as reported 7 May, our insurers have agreed to provide sufficient funds to cover the cost of replacing the existing, which along with some of the Council's agreed top up funding of an extra £15,000 allows us to buy and have installed a brand new pontoon, 25m long with a shoreline gangway. The contractors have indicated a 6-8 week programme so we anticipate its "launch" in August.

In the meantime, to alleviate the congestion caused by having only one launch pontoon at the Cruiser Fleet Park, if any cruiser sailors would like to leave their boat temporarily on a mooring then please ask at the Club Office.
