Wanderer Dinghy 1395

The Wanderer is a Bermuda rigged sailing dinghy designed by Ian Proctor and bought from Hartley Boats
The boat is a 14-foot (4.3 metres) versatile and durable sailing dinghy. The Wanderer’s robust Fibreglass hull construction ensures that it can withstand the rigors of regular use, whether on inland waters or coastal conditions.
The Wanderer typically accommodates a crew of two to three people, making it suitable for family outings or sailing with friends. Its spacious cockpit provides ample room for crew members, while the balanced rig and hull design ensure it is easy to manage, even for those with limited sailing experience. The boats stability and forgiving nature make it an excellent choice for beginners, while its performance characteristics appeal to more experienced sailors.

The Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) number for the Wanderer is approximately 1150. The PY number allows it to compete fairly in mixed fleet racing, making it a popular choice for club racing events. Its blend of stability and performance ensures it remains competitive while being manageable for sailors of varying skill levels.

This Wanderer dinghy has been in the family since new, its been well loved and well maintained. It is in good condition and ready to sail. It is set up with:
Aluminium mast & boom, roller reefing jib centre rigging with fully working sheets, halyards, blocks & cleats
Wooden rudder with aluminium tiller & extension and integrated pivoting centreboard. Built in buoyancy and non-slip floorboards
Combi road trailer & launching trolley
Two sets of sails, no need to reef (Cruising & Storm sails)
Good quality boat cover & sail bag
There are a couple of small bumps on the gunnels but have been properly repaired.

The boat is currently in a berth at Rutland Sailing Club and arrangements can be made to view on request.
