K1 No 99 Single handed dinghy. Located RSC Rutland.
Where? Rutland Sailing Club
Originally assembled and tuned by Paul Handley the K1 designer with a number of firsts during his ownership and subsequently 3rd in 20 boat open at RSC and winner of the virtual Nationals during Covid restrictions in 2021. North main and jib plus a reduced size jib. The main and jib halyards were replaced this summer (2023). It has a unique mast ram, adjustable when sailing, furling jib and dangly pole for jib control. Additional halyard bags port and starboard. It is a dry and sound boat and comes with a launching trolley with jockey wheel and road trailer plus tuning guides. The condition is good which is currently being enhanced to remove any usage scuffs, polish the hull and decks to bring the boat as close to “as new” as possible. The carbon fibre mast, booms and dangly pole will similarly be treated and re-sealed. New road wheels were fitted in November (2023) along with one of the launching trolley wheels and the rudder up and down haul re-corded.
15ft single handed dinghy with main and jib and retractable keel. This dinghy will not capsize.
