Personal information: To support subscriptions and uphold its lease the Club is required to hold a basic level of personal information on each membership and visiting sailor. Membership information will be saved on an encrypted database.
Collecting data: Personal data is collected when prospective members join the Club. This data will be reviewed on membership renewals. Visitor's information is collected at reception on arrival.
Visiting sailors are required to complete a Temporary Membership form. These are available from reception.
Visiting sailors attending an open event are required to complete an entry form.
Consent: Permission to hold personal data is sought at sale of Membership, registration or booking.
Data sharing: Personal data will not be shared unless explicit permission has been given. However, data maybe shared for the following purposes:
- Where a member is involved with the organisation of an event or Club activity. Data maybe shared with the event organiser and limited to name, email and contact number.
- To allow designated members and employees of the Club to contact you regarding issues and news that is likely to affect a member's interest. Those members and employees are limited to: Commodore, Vice Commodore, Fleet Captains and Club Staff.
Member's data will not be shared with third parties. This includes Club members.
Visitor's information will only be used in conjunction with the specified event or visits and in accordance with the Clubs lease obligations.
Methods of communication: The Club may use third party software to contact its members. This includes email and/or event registration systems. Only software that conforms to the privacy requirements of European General Data Protection Regulations will be used.
Deleting personal information: Members and visitors can request for personal data held to be deleted. However, to hold a membership a minimum of name, address and contact number is required.
