International Inclusive Keelboat Championship 2026

Introduction

Sailed in a fleet of 6 x RS21's, the International Inclusive Keelboat Championship 2026 will run from 19th to 22nd November and be hosted by Rutland Sailing Club on the Southern shore of the largest reservoir in

England, Rutland Water.

Inclusion sailing is defined as increasing opportunities for participation in events up to international-level sailing; specifically for disabled sailors whose disability does not meet the para classification 'Minimal Disability (MD) criteria. For the International Championship, teams of sailors will be competing in RS21s

Entries

Entry cost for a team is £530. This is inclusive of cost for use of boats, Opening Ceremony buffet and Saturday evening meal for all team members. This also includes use of boats and coaching support on 19th

November prior to the event.

An Early Entry discount is offered of £499 for entries made up to 21st October 2026

Nearest Train Station is Oakham it is only a short taxi ride to Rutland Sailing Club.

For train detail see www.nationalrail.co.uk

Flights

Stansted is closest and has a good train link to Oakham. About 1 hour

East Midlands is good but no transport links except taxi. About an hour by taxi

Birmingham has good train links with to Oakham. About 1.5 hours by train

Luton is next nearest, probably 2 hours by train and not a direct link

Heathrow is possible but 2 hours by car and 2.5 or so by train. By train, Heathrow to

London Kings Cross station then to Oakham via Peterborough

Accommodation

RSC has good bunk accommodation and can be booked through the office.

sailing@rutlandsailingclub.co.uk. Bunk accommodation is available from £32 per person for 2 nights and up to £36 depending on choice as some have ensuite bathrooms.
