Members learn to race weekend

Free to all members.

This Weekend of training is aimed at the sailors who can sail and would like to get into club race.

On the Saturday we will;

Cover the bassics of what you will need to know to get you round a race course on a Tursday night or sunday club race.

We will have a few drills aimed to help improve your skill on the water and get you more confident sailing aound other boats weather that be on the start line or on the course, making club racing not so daunting.

We will have a session in the morning on the water followed by a land based session covering some of the bassic rules, after this we will head back out onto the water to try and put some of are new knowlage into use.

On the sunday we will put all of are new skills and knowlage into good use when we take part in club racing. We will have our own start away from the main fleet and also have a boat coaching us round the course.

The aim of this weekend is to get you as confidant and comftable as possible on the water around other boats so you can come and take part in club racing and enjoy your time on the water.
