Summer Camp
Rutland Sailing Club Family Camp
Rutland Family Camp 2025 will be 3 days of fun family activities and racing. All members are welcome to come and take part. There will be activities for everyone.
For young non-sailors there will be shore based activities and opportunities to ride in boats and have a go. For existing sailors there will be fun water based activities and racing.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times who can actively participate. We cannot take responsibility for your child. We need adults to help support the activities either on the beach or in RIBs. There will also be opportunities for adults to sail.
Arrive after your evening meal on Tuesday 5th August to pitch your tent (Please note: The Canteen and Bar will be closed). The event will finish on Friday 8th by 9pm.
Racing will include:
- Junior Jetty - for sailors who cannot sail a triangle
- Junior regatta - for junior racers who are less experienced
- Junior Pro - for tera or other junior class boats who race at events
- Youth challenge - to challenge the youths
- Novice adult - for adults new to sailing
- Main race - for everyone in any boat
Cost
The event is bookable via the RSC website event booking system. The price is £80 per family for 3 days or £30 per day. It is a family camp and we encourage the whole family to get involved. The event is run at cost.
Accommodation
Camping will be available in the campsite across the road. Anne Rowlands will collect payment by bank transfer.

Food
Breakfast will be in the campsite BYO or join the pancake queue (donations of eggs appreciated).
Wednesday the canteen will be closed so bring your own lunch and snacks. We will have a Bring Your Own BBQ on Wednesday evening. If you don't have a BBQ bring your own food and cook on an available BBQ.
Thursday and Friday The canteen will be open for lunch. Please prebook your dinner via the Rutland Sailing club website. You will need a packed lunch to take on the water for Friday pirate day - this can be ordered on Thursday at the canteen if required.
Friday will be pirate day so come prepared to dress up.
