Women's Team Racing Training

2 Day Womens Uni Team Race Training
2 day training camp is for females at, or about to be at university.
The camp will cover the basics of team racing, the fundamentals of sailing a firefly fast and will then give people the opportunity to put the theory into practice in a friendly and collaborative environment.
Timings
Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday 9am - 5pm
Includes
Use of Fireflies
2 days team race training on and off the water
Basic packed lunch Sat and Sun*
Floor space accommodation on Sat night (staying with members)
Available for additional cost for sailors and supporters
Bunkroom accommodation at sailing club
Canteen open all day for breakfast, lunch and evening meals.
You must be female and either :-
A University team racer or starting at University this autumn and
Experienced racing sailor ILCA, 29er, 420, RS200, Topper etc.
Or regular youth team racer or a Rutland Squad member
The key coaches are experienced team and fleet racers themselves as well as proven TR coaches.
The cost is £65 for existing team racers sailing at University level.

Represented Uni at team racing
Have made ¼ finals at a National Team Racing event inc BSDRA and ETs
The cost for sailors who have limited or no team racing experience is £80. This will include :-

Basics of team racing theory
Explanation of main rules used during team racing
Defensive on the water techniques
