Rutland Challenger sailors had a fantastic weekend even though sailing was cancelled on Friday. Graham Hall was first in the Gold Fleet and UK Champion while Nick Bett came second and Richard Triffitt third. Val Millward was first Lady Helm and in the Silver Fleet Di Faulks came first, Alan Bradley second and Caz Jerromes third. Steve Lee was placed 5th and Dave Hodson 9th. We had many volunteers from both the wider club and Rutland Sailability for which we were most grateful.

Our caterers kept us well fed and watered throughout the weekend. They provided a wonderful meal on Saturday evening which everyone enjoyed.

Our Commodore, Alex Wilby welcomed everyone and thanked all the competitors for coming to Rutland to sail. The prizes were presented by Fiona Kidd, Head of International Development at World Sailing, who was most impressed by the Challenger, it's sailors and the wide range of inclusivity provided by the Challenger.

Our thanks to Rutland Sailing Club for hosting the event on behalf of the Challenger Class Association.
