Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Sailability
Achieve Prestigious British Sailing Pathway Club Status
Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Sailability are pleased to announce their recent recognition as a British Sailing Pathway Club, as a testament to their commitment to supporting para sailors and their racing endeavours.
Created by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the Pathway Club programme underpins its "Racing for Life" initiative, and was first set up to identify clubs across the UK which aim to make racing fun for junior sailors, help them develop strong fundamentals, and foster a lifelong love of the sport.
Importantly the programme's credentials have now been extended to Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Sailability delivering the same high-quality racing and race coaching opportunities for sailors with disabilities, enabling regular training and racing, and encouraging a team culture where para sailors train together in a safe, enjoyable learning environment for both race training and competitive racing.
Importantly this achievement will not interfere with our current Sailing Programme. However, this achievement will offer additional opportunities for race training for those who wish to take part. For further information please contact either David Wilkins (Rutland Sailing Club) or Jonathan Schofield (Rutland Sailability).
