We are sad to announce that Matt Lea, our Club Manager, will be leaving his role at Rutland Sailing Club on 7 Nov 2021.

Matt will be taking up a new role in outdoor education training, presenting not only a fresh and exciting new challenge, but also a working pattern that allows for more family time at weekends.

We are highly appreciative of all the hard work that Matt has done for us over the last 4 years. Particularly so for managing the club through the many challenges caused by the pandemic, frequently working long days to ensure our club was able to stay open whenever possible and to help us to operate safely within Covid guidelines at all times. Matt has also been instrumental in moving forward the club's administrative systems, including the introduction of the Sailing Club Manager software.

As well as being an excellent club manager, I'm sure all members will agree that Matt's friendly and seemingly unflappable approach to his role has meant it's been a pleasure to have had him onboard for the last few years.

And a final thanks to Matt for the entertainment he's provided us with whilst sailing his Moth, demonstrating impressive foiling skills, the envy of many a club member.

We wish Matt every success and happiness in his new role and for the future.
